10 Best Budget Hotels in Paris
I’m a bit in love with Paris, and I don’t miss a chance to visit the city. At least once a year, I make my way over, and I’d be lying if I said that it’s not a long-held dream of mine to live there for a bit. Anyway, Paris is not exactly a cheap city to stay. Hotels are often quite pricey, and not always that good. That’s why I decided to compile a list of the ten best budget hotels in Paris, so that you can book a nice place for your next city break!

10 Charming Budget Hotels in Paris
Hotel Restaurant au Boeuf Couronné
Address: 188 Avenue Jean Jaurès, 19th arrondissement
The 3-star Au Boeuf Couronné Hotel is located in the hip and up-and-coming 19th arrondissement. The stylish rooms have cool copper details, free wifi, and even pets are welcome. Within a minute’s walk you are at a metro station that transports you to the heart of the city.
Best Western Plus la Demeure
Address: 51, Boulevard Saint Marcel, 13th arrondissement
In these articles I always try to stay away from chains, because I find that so predictable. But let’s be honest: chains are becoming more hip and stylish because they also know that with a boring interior they cannot compete with independent competition. That is why I liked the cool ocher yellow interior of Best Western Plus Le Demeure. The rooms are decorated in boutique style with beautiful golden details. The hotel is located in a building from 1903.
Hôtel de Roubaix
Address: 6, rue Greneta, 3rd arrondissement
Original, that’s how you can best describe the décor of the Hôtel de Roubaix. From fluorescent colors to charmingly decorated rooms, there is something for everyone. The best thing about the hotel is the location: right in the middle of the third arrondissement, just between Les Marais, Les Halles, and Place de la République.
Apartment Petit Marais
Address: 10 rue Saint Paul, 4th arrondissement
Do you want to stay in my favorite arrondissement? Then book Apartment Petit Marais, the only apartment in this list. On the edge of Les Marais, not far from the Seine, you will find this studio of 23 square meters. You have your own kitchen, washing machine, ironing board, wifi … what more do you want?
Hotel Terre Neuve
Address: 22 bis rue terre neuve, 20th arrondissement
In the 20th arrondissement, not far from Père Lachaise, you will find Hotel Terre Neuve. The rooms are simple and sleek but fully equipped. For a few euros extra you can have a breakfast buffet every morning to get your day off to a good start.
Hôtel de la Porte Dorée
Address: 273 Avenue Daumesnil, 12th arrondissement
The romantic rooms at Hôtel De La Porte Dorée are ideal for travelers who like a classic style. They’re decorated with antique furniture and have parquet floors. The hotel is a stone’s throw from the gigantic Bois de Vincennes City Park.
Address: 9 – 11 Place du Colonel Fabien, 10th arrondissement
Don’t be put off by the fact that Generator is a hostel. I once slept in their hostels, and they are very comfortable. You can also simply book a private room. Some rooms even come with a private terrace from where you have a view over the city. You are a few minutes’ walk from Canal St. Martin, where you will find many nice restaurants and cafés.
Address: 189 rue de Crimée, 19th district
If you like modern prints, then you’re in the right place at Hotel Trema. The rooms at Hotel Trema overlook the city, and are compact but comfortable. The hotel is not far from the ring road, making it easy to reach with your own car.
BLC Design Hotel
Address: 4, Rue Richard Lenoir, 11th arrondissement
If you like white sleek design, then you are going to like BlC Design Hotel. The 29 rooms of the hotels are all white, with large portraits, and mirrors on the wall. Located in the heart of the 11th arrondissement, it is not far from Place de la Bastille.
Ibis Styles Massena Olympiads
Address: 82-84 rue Regnault, 13th arrondissement
An Ibis hotel is always good. They have one of the most comfortable beds, and the rooms are always stylishly and conveniently furnished. Ibis Styles hotels are always slightly more original, more like a boutique hotel, which gives it more style. Yellow is a prominent color in this hotel that is not far from Paris’ Chinatown.
These are my selections for the best budget hotels in Paris. Not those ugly peeling and boring hotels, but actually nicely decorated boutique-style hotels that all cost under €100. I hope it helps you plan your next city trip and that you will book one of these cheap hotels!
